VARCommerce takes card payments at storefront checkout and against invoices through your choice of gateway, CardConnect, Authorize.net, USAePay or First Data, and stores customer cards through the gateway's tokenisation so card numbers never live in VARCommerce, which is how customers meet PCI requirements while still keeping cards on file for repeat orders.

Which gateway should I use?
Whichever you already have a merchant account with; the gateway is selected in your VARCommerce settings.
Is card data stored in VARCommerce?
No. Cards are tokenised by the gateway; VARCommerce stores the token, which is what a customer meant by PCI-compliant card storage.
