CRM

The sale starts in the CRM and never leaves the record

Targets become leads, leads become opportunities, opportunities carry quotes, and the quote becomes the order and the invoice. Reps work the pipeline, tasks and calendar in the same system they quote from, so the CRM always knows what was quoted, bought and billed. It is included with every VARCommerce subscription.

One opportunity: linked quote, forecast, activity and health
In one paragraph

VARCommerce includes a CRM built for how an IT reseller sells: target lists of prospect companies, leads that convert to accounts and contacts, opportunities with stages, probability and close dates, and every quote linked to its opportunity so quote status moves the pipeline and forecast. Reps track calls, notes, tasks and meetings with two-way Outlook calendar sync, and managers see pipeline, forecast and rep activity across teams. The CRM is part of the base subscription, not an add-on, and teams on Salesforce, Autotask or ConnectWise can connect those instead.

From target to invoice on one record

  1. Target. Prospect companies on target lists, worked by campaign, with activity reported per list.
  2. Lead. Web leads from your website forms, imported lists, rep-entered contacts and, for government VARs, bid opportunities parsed automatically from agency emails, converted to an account and contact when qualified.
  3. Opportunity. Stage, probability, close window, deal registration and special pricing, tasks and reminders, all on the deal.
  4. Quote. Built from live distributor pricing and linked to the opportunity; sending the quote moves the deal, and a won quote becomes the purchase orders and the order and invoice.
  5. Account. Every quote, order, invoice, serial number and conversation for the customer, in one place, for the next sale.

What a rep works with every day

  • Pipeline views by stage, owner and close date, with the quote status and forecast value on every row.
  • Activity timeline of calls, notes, tasks and meetings on the company, contact and opportunity.
  • Two-way Outlook calendar sync: meetings created in VARCommerce appear in Outlook and the other way round, with reminders.
  • Tasks with due dates and reminders, shown in the viewer's own time zone.
  • Company and contact search across the whole customer base, with the account's quotes and orders one click away.

What a sales manager sees

  • Forecast by month, quarter or year with best case, weighted and quote-total views, and drill-through to the deals behind each number.
  • Rep and team performance on activity, pipeline created and revenue won, grouped by rep group.
  • Visibility rules: reps see their own accounts and deals, managers see their team, administrators see everything, set per user in security profiles.

Why a CRM inside the quoting platform

A standalone CRM knows a deal was "won" because someone changed a field. VARCommerce's CRM knows because the quote was accepted, the purchase orders went to the distributors and the invoice was issued. Forecasts use real quote values, close-rate reporting uses real orders, and account history includes what the customer actually bought, down to the serial number. There is nothing to sync and nothing to re-key.

If your sales team already lives in Salesforce, Autotask or ConnectWise PSA, those integrations share companies, contacts, opportunities and quotes so you can keep it. Reporting runs across the whole record either way.

Questions buyers ask

Frequently asked questions

Is the CRM included or a paid add-on?

Included. Every VARCommerce subscription comes with the CRM: targets, leads, opportunities, activity tracking, Outlook sync and forecasting. There is no separate CRM licence.

Does VARCommerce have a CRM?

Yes. VARCommerce includes a CRM built for IT resellers, with targets, leads, opportunities, quotes linked to deals, tasks, Outlook calendar sync, pipeline and forecast. It is part of the same platform as quoting, procurement and invoicing.

Can I keep Salesforce, Autotask or ConnectWise instead?

Yes. Those integrations share companies, contacts, opportunities and quotes between the systems, so a team that lives in its PSA or CRM keeps it and VARCommerce runs the transaction behind the opportunity.

Do web leads from my storefront or website go into the CRM?

Yes. Web leads land as leads in the CRM, are assigned to a rep, and convert to an account, contact and opportunity when qualified.

Does the calendar sync with Outlook?

Yes, two-way. Meetings and appointments created in VARCommerce appear in the rep's Outlook calendar and changes made in Outlook are reflected back.
